Michael Bisping has a fat little friend named Charles McCarthy

Quoteworthy:

“I suppose he is trying to convince himself that he does belong in there, and I imagine he thinks he is being clever, trying to play mind games and ‘get into my head.’ Some people think if you get someone mad then they won't perform as well. Congratulations Charles. You succeeded in pissing me off by not only disrespecting me, but all of my previous opponents. If you think that this is a good thing, wrong. You have made a big mistake by making this personal. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not someone to be messed around when I'm pissed. So I will see you on the 19th when I will bring all of my ‘averageness.’ Just hope your ready for this mediocre fighter, because make no mistake my fat little friend, I'm ready for you!”

“The Count” responds directly to this. Here we go … as expected.

Sengoku II: Kevin Randleman vs. Jim York

Posted: 03 Apr 2008 02:26 PM CDT

sengoku
World Victory Road has scheduled former UFC heavyweight champion Kevin “The Monster” Randleman (16-12) to face New Zealand’s Jim “Big” York (9-1) at Sengoku II on May 18 at Tokyo’s Ariake Coliseum according to the official Sengoku Web site.

Randleman hasn’t competed since August of 2006, dropping a submission loss to current UFC light heavyweight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at PRIDE 32.

Randleman is just 3-7 in his last ten bouts. The former NCAA national champion was also in trouble with the law in August of 2007 and even more trouble with a gruesome staph infection last October.

In addition to Sengoku II, Randleman is penciled in to face Jeff “The Snowman” Monson (24-7) this June at the Global Fighting Championships in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Here’s hoping the former headliner can make a successful return to the world of mixed martial arts. Standing in his way however is a very tough opponent in Jim York.

York has nine straight wins to his credit with five of them coming via submission and the other four by way of (T)KO. Simply put, York has no intention of leaving things in the judge’s hands.

Knowing Randleman, neither does he. This could be his last run at success in mixed martial arts, so you can bet he’s going to be looking to make a statement.

Here’s one fan that’s still pulling for him.

Stopping Karo: You be the judge

It’s hard to argue for Karo at this angle. After collapsing he takes four unanswered blows. Was it too early or right on the money? You be the judge.

UFC 83 after party in Montreal Canada at Newtown

ufc 83 after party patrick cote

Now that UFC Fight Night 13 is in the books it’s time to get pumped for UFC 83: “Serra vs. St. Pierre 2″ from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, on April 19.

And what better way to do that than to announce some parties?

Yahoo! Canada in association with The Substance Entertainment Group and MMA Fight Gear Canada present the official Avirex UFC 83 after party — hosted by Patrick Cote — at Newtown on Rue Crescent Street.

“The Predator” will not be in action because of a sprained knee, meaning that he and other special guests will be accessible throughout the evening. And having partied with Cote in the past I know this is going to be a crazy party in his own backyard.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. See you there!
