UFC 127: Jon Jones is sick of double-leg dives and sub-par boxing

"I'm actually really sick of fighting this type of style. Matt Hamill, (Vladimir) Matyushenko, Jake O'Brien... they all have that similar kind of style. Their main focus is that double leg dive and sub-par boxing. I'm trying to secure a respect level with my wrestling. I'm sure Ryan Bader, the advantage he'll have going in is to be the better wrestler and I'm going to try and prove the UFC wrong again."

Top light heavyweight prospect Jon Jones tells "Inside MMA" that he's not impressed with wrestlers who rely on diving takedowns and mediocre stand-up as he prepares for an unofficial date with Ryan Bader at UFC 127 on Feb. 5 in Las Vegas. "Darth" defeated his toughest test yet in Antonio Rogerio Nogueira just last month yet in spite of the victory, some fans and critics weren't impressed with his performance. Will he make them a believer with a huge win over "Bones" in Sin City during Superbowl weekend?

UFC 123 'Prelims' on Spike TV to feature Simpson vs. Munoz, Brown vs. MacDonald

Spike TV today announced that its UFC 119 "Prelims" telecast will include bouts featuring Mark Munoz vs. Aaron Simpson (middleweight) and Rory MacDonald vs. Matt Brown (welterweight).

UFC 123: "Rampage vs. Machida" is set for Nov. 20, 2010, from the Palace of Auburn Hills in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan.

Munoz and Simpson -- two of the Octagon's most gifted mat technicians -- will both be out to rebound from tough losses in their most recent performances.

Munoz is coming off a hard-fought split-decision loss to Yushin Okami at last month's UFC on Versus 2 event in San Diego, while "A-Train" was stopped via technical knockout by the resurgent Chris Leben at the Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale back in June.

Also hitting the airwaves is bright young prospect, Rory MacDonald, looking to bounce back from the first loss of his professional career against Matt Brown.

MacDonald was seconds away from likely defeating Carlos Condit at UFC 112 before "The Natural Born Killer" stormed back to score a late third round technical knockout. Brown, meanwhile,  needs a win in a major way after losing back-to-back fights to Chris Lytle and Ricardo Almeida.

UFC 123 will be headlined by a light heavyweight match up of top contenders Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. And two guys you've probably never heard of, Matt Hughes and BJ "The Prodigy" Penn, will finally complete their welterweight trilogy.

Minotauro' Nogueira: 'Chael Sonnen is a kid' who 'lacks respect

"I loved it. I had to call to Wanderlei to congratulate him. I always get along well with Wanderlei. Whenever we train in Las Vegas, we go to his gym. Yesterday, I had to congratulate the guy, because he has the right attitude. Sonnen is a kid who does not know what he’s talking about, who thinks it’s cute to do this type of marketing. Sonnen is a guy who never practiced a martial art in his life. He doesn’t know what respect or leadership is. He never respected any teacher, so he said those things. He’s a guy who has no respect for anything. Wanderlei gave him an earful at the right time, and I was pleased. After the fight with Anderson, Sonnen has apologized for the comments he made toward us. I think marketing yourself is fine, but what he said indicated a real lack of respect toward us.... Sonnen was totally wrong. It was a great lack of respect toward us. The guy talked too much, and even though he was doping, he still lost to Anderson. Even with Anderson hurt and Sonnen doped, Anderson still defeated him. God is just."

Former Pride FC and UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira continues to pile it on top of former number one middleweight contender, Chael Sonnen, after a positive test for performance-enhancing drugs. In the run up to his fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 117, Sonnen went to great lengths to discredit the Brazilian black belt that the "Spider" earned under the Nogueira brothers, saying it came in a McDonald's Happy Meal. He also called one Nogueira a punching bag and the other irrelevant. With his comments, Sonnen appeared to anger the entire Brazilian fighter community, including Wanderlei Silva, who warned that he might lose his teeth if he didn't start showing more respect. Is all the Sonnen bashing getting a little out of hand or is karma really just a bitch?
