So, how do you celebrate BROCKTOBER?

If you answered "By going to MMAmania.com and winning an Ultimate Collector Series 4 Brock Lesnar Championship Edition Figurine," then friend, you've come to the right place. That's right, we're back yet again with another UFC contest give-away featuring none other than UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.

In association with Round 5 MMA, the high end retailer responsible for mixed martial arts' most recognizable collectible figurines and merchandise, we will award one lucky Maniac with a full set of Ultimate Collector Series 4 figurines including the Brock Lesnar Championship Edition.

Heck, we'll even throw in a couple of prize packages for the runner-ups because this is an MMAmania.com contest, and you wouldn't expect anything less.

So what do you have to do to get your hands on the "Toughest S.O.B. in the UFC?" It's quite simple, really. Check out complete contest entry details after the jump!:

How do you win the Round 5 Brock Lesnar Prize Package?

STEP 1: You must "Like" Round 5 on Facebook to be eligible for this contest. Click here.

STEP 2: Predict the following winners for UFC 121: "Lesnar vs. Velasquez" by leaving your predictions in the comments section below (ONE submission per fan member):

  • Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez
  • Jake Shields vs. Martin Kampmann
  • Diego Sanchez vs. Paulo Thiago
  • Tito Ortiz vs. Matt Hamill
  • Brendan Schaub vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

STEP 3: Post your entry in the comments section below BEFORE 7 p.m. ET on October 23, 2010.

That's it!

As with any contest, certain stipulations must be met in order to become and remain eligible throughout the duration of the contest.

PLEASE NOTE: *One submission per fan member only and if more than one submission is posted, ALL posts for that member will be void. *If you leave the Round 5 Facebook Fan Page at any time after submitting your prediction, your submission will be invalid -- even if you qualify as the winner.

The first FIVE fan members to correctly predict ALL the UFC 121 main card winners will be awarded with the following Ultimate Collector Series prize packages, in this order:

GRAND PRIZE: Full Set of Ultimate Collector Series 4 with Brock Lesnar Championship Edition

SECOND PLACE: Full Set Ultimate Collector Series 4

THIRD PLACE: Full Set Ultimate Collector Series 4

FOURTH PLACE: Full Set Ultimate Collector Series 3

FIFTH PLACE: Full Set Ultimate Collector Series 3

Since you have to correctly identify all the winners from the UFC 121 main card in order to win, prizes will be awarded in the order they were received.

What does that mean?

It means you need to get the heck outta Dodge and leave your predictions ASAP. Time is of the essence and you don't want to find out after the event that you placed sixth and won squat because you took your sweet time entering the contest!

Good luck and have fun!

MMA Quick Quote: Marloes Coenen doesn't want to roll with Meisha Tate

Posted: 10 Oct 2010 03:34 PM PDT

Meisha-tate-6_medium

"I thought it would become a brawl. The strategy was to get into it. It didn't happen. I don't know why. Maybe she didn't want to exchange punches much. At the start of the third, my trainer told me to give her a straight punch and go for a takedown. I do what he tells me.... Like I said before, winning the world title can be a life-changing thing for me.... Miesha won the tournament, she’s a great grappler and obviously very good. I will definitely have to stand with her. For tonight’s fight, I worked very hard. This is an unbelievable feeling."

-- Newly-crowned Strikeforce 135-pound queenpin, Marloes Coenen, reflects on her big win last night over the previously undefeated Sarah Kaufmann, which she secured with a third round armbar submission. And she's already got her mind set on defending her latest accessory, talking about her keys to victory over her next likely opponent, Meisha Tate. "Takedown" -- who recently won a four-woman, one-night 135-pound elimination tournament earlier this year -- is a fantastic wrestler who can serve up a healthy dose of ground and pound if and when she gets her opponents horizontal. Is this a classic style match up between two of the world's best (and hottest) female fighters on the planet or does one of them have a clear cut advantage inside the cage?

Josh Thomson on decisioning JZ Cavalcante: 'No way I won that fight, 30-27'

Posted: 10 Oct 2010 10:51 AM PDT

Josh_thomson_vs_jz_cava_medium

Oh, but you did, Josh, in the eyes of judge Susan Thomas Gitlan:

"I probably could have fought much harder but JZ is a very dangerous guy and one of the best in the world and it was obviously very important for me to win so I played it a little safe. I felt this might go the distance but no way I won that fight, 30-27. He got me a few times, but I hurt more from his two headbutts (that required stitches).’’

"The Punk" says what (seemingly) everyone who watched his three-round fight with JZ Cavalcante last night at Strikeforce: "Diaz vs. Noons 2" was thinking: That he didn't win all three rounds against his Brazilian counterpart. In fact, it's safe to say that he clearly lost the third round and could have been outpointed in the opening stanza. All the judges agreed, however, that Thomson won the first, during which he was clipped with a hard right and was trapped in a very, very tight guillotine choke. Bad Gitlan scorecard aside, did anyone think Cavalcante deserved the nod instead?
